Archery Safety Rules

    All archers must check in at the reception desk prior to shooting.

    No broadheads or crossbows allowed.

    Safety rules and proper shooting etiquette must be followed at all times.
    Before Shooting

    Wear snug fitting clothes to prevent the bowstring from catching clothing.

    Closed toed shoes are required.

    Tie long hair back and remove dangling jewelry or any other items that might be caught on the string.

    Make sure your arrows are the correct length.
    Archery Range Procedure

    Before shooting verify that the range is clear.

    Move forward and straddle the shooting line.

    Step back off of the shooting line when you are done and wait behind the waiting line until everyone is done shooting.

    Retrieve your arrows.
    General Rules

    Always walk; never run on the shooting range.

    Pay attention to the instructors on the range.

    Absolutely NO horseplay on the shooting range.

    Never draw your bow except when on the shooting line.

    NEVER "Dry Fire" a bow (releasing the bowstring without an arrow).

    Sky draws are not permitted.

    Always keep your arrows pointed down range or towards the target.

    Shoot only at your own target, never across the field.

    If you drop an arrow, leave it on the ground until you are finished.

    Please pick up any trash and clean up personal items.
    Archery Range Shooting Commands-VERBAL OR WHISTLE

    Whistle: TWO BLASTS

    Verbal: "Archers to the shooting line."

    Whistle: ONE BLAST Verbal: "Begin Shooting."

    Whistle: THREE BLASTS

    Verbal: "Archers walk forward and wait at the target line."

    Whistle: FOUR OR MORE BLASTS (series of blasts) Verbal "STOP, STOP, STOP, STOP" or

    "CEASE FIRE."
    Retrieving Arrows

    Watch out for archers behind you when pulling arrows.

    After pulling each arrow, place them back in the quiver or hold point first in your hand.

    Once all arrows have been retrieved return to your target lane and stand behind the waiting line.
    Pay Attention To Your Equipment

    Examine bowstrings, loose arrow rests, loose fletching, cracked arrow nocks and that all equipment is in good working condition.


Please report any unsafe conditions to an Easton Foundations staff member immediately.

EASTON ARCHERY CENTERS - RULES, REGULATIONS AND POLICIES


The Easton Foundations will provide highly trained professional staff, a clean facility, top quality instruction, a safe environment that is inclusive to all and a high level of customer service at all times. We expect all participants and visitors to follow the Easton Archery Centers Rules and Policies outlined below while in our facilities and while participating in our programs.


CHECKING IN

All participants and guests are required tocheck-in at the front desk upon entering the center (the method of signing in may vary by location). All participants shooting at the center must have a signed Waiver of Liability on file.


HOURS OF OPERATION

Please check the calendar section on the website for hours of operation and blackout days. Days and hours of operation may be changed at the center’s discretion.


DRESS CODE

All participants and visitors are to wear appropriate, non-offensive, non-revealing clothing while at the center. We reserve the right to deny the use of the center to any person whose attire we do not consider to be appropriate in connection with the public image of our center. Closed toe shoes must always be worn on the range. Please see Archery Range Rules for required dress code while shooting.


SAFETY

Safety is a priority! Please exercise caution when participating in a class/program/activity. All participants are required to comply with Easton Archery Center Rules and Policies, Archery Range Rules, and staff directives. If you have an accident, injury, or incident, contact a staff member immediately. First-aid kits are available throughout the Easton Archery Centers, along with automated external defibrillators (AEDs).


SEX OFFENDER POLICY

Certain criminal convictions may result in immediate termination of all Easton Archery Center privileges. The protection of our participants and guests participating in our programs and/or using our facilities is of paramount importance to the Easton Foundations. If it comes to our attention that a participant or guest is listed on a Sex Offender Registry, the Easton Foundations reserves the right to cancel membership, end program participation, and terminate archery center access.
BUSINESS ACTIVITY

    Participants and guests shall not conduct, purchase, or subscribe to any commercial business or activity on center premises or solicit other participants or guests for any reason unless prior arrangements have been made with the Center Manager.

    No Personal Coaching by participants or guests. You may not solicit or conduct on the premises any personal coaching, with or without compensation, unless prior arrangements have been made with the Center Manager.

    Filming or photography for advertising or promotion of commercial products or services is not allowed.

    No gathering or meeting of any kind shall be permitted in the facility without permission from the Center Manager.

    Under no circumstances should participants or guests interfere with the centers conduct of its business.


CELL PHONES

Please limit cell phone calls to areas off the range, and please be sure your use of electronics does not disrupt others.


NO SMOKING

In the interest of providing a healthy and safe environment for our staff, participants and guests, we adhere to a strict NO SMOKING policy. The use of any type of tobacco products, including smokeless tobacco, E-Cigarettes, Vapor products or any substance containing THC, cannabis, or similar substance (weather or not legal) within the Center or complex property is prohibited at all times.


DRUG AND ALCOHOL USE

Using, possessing or being under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs, including marijuana or any substance containing THC, cannabis, or similar substance in or outside of an Easton Archery Center or on property is prohibited at all times. Do not drink alcoholic beverages before using the center facilities.


SOCIAL MEDIA

We reserve the right to take photos and videos for training purposes and advertising. This includes posting content to our social media accounts. We encourage our community to share content, photos, and stories of their experiences at our operating centers on personal, non- commercial social media accounts in ways that do not suggest endorsement by the Easton Foundations/Easton Archery Centers. We assume that anyone sharing this user generated content to their personal social media accounts has the right to do so and has permission of the photographed individuals. Please do not photograph or record the likeness of any athlete, coach, student, guest, or Easton Foundation employee unless you have received appropriate written permission and authorization.


LOITERING

Loitering on center property (inside or out) is not permitted. Individuals who are lingering with no clear purpose or who are not using center facilities for their intended purpose will be considered loitering and will be asked to leave.


UNDERAGE POLICY

Children 14 years and under must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian at all times while at the center. Special arrangements may be available for minors (14 and under) during camps or for extended class time and this must pre-approved by the Center Manager. Young Adults aged 15 and up are welcome unaccompanied at the center as long as they have a way to contact their parent, legal guardian or caregiver and they must be picked up as soon as their activity (archery class, archery open shoot, league night, etc.) is completed. Parents or Guardians are responsible for their minor children’s actions. Easton Archery Center staff/volunteers are not responsible for the care and safety of unsupervised children.


WORKSHOP

The workshop is equipped with the necessary tools for equipment maintenance, repairs and tuning. Workshop access is granted to approved pass holders with proper training by Easton Archery Center staff. Users must have a signed workshop waiver on file and be 18 or over to use the workshop unless prior arrangements are made with the Center Manager. All posted workshops rules and safety precautions must always be followed while using the workshop. Please note: Workshop access may vary depending on the Easton Archery Center location.


LOST & FOUND

We are not responsible for lost or stolen items; however, if you do lose something at the center, please report it to the front desk staff immediately and leave your contact information. If you find an unattended item, please turn it in to the front desk staff. All unattended items will be put into Lost & Found and if not claimed, will be discarded after 30 days.


FOOD AND DRINKS

Food is permitted in the kitchen or designated areas only unless special arrangements have been made with the Center Manager. Water and sports drinks are permitted provided they are in a sealable non- glass container. No glass containers permitted in the center. Please do not litter. Please properly dispose of all drinking containers and refuse in the proper trash receptacles.


PETS

Animals are not allowed in the Center or on the Outdoor Range except for service animals. A service animal means any animal trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability. Pets providing emotional support, wellbeing, comfort, or companionship are not recognized as service animals under ADA regulations. Misrepresenting a dog as a service animal is a criminal violation.


RESTROOMS

Keep the restrooms in a neat and sanitary condition. Toilet tissue must be disposed of in the toilet or in trash containers, not on the floor. American sanitation systems are designed to accommodate tissue only.


EQUIPMENT USE

No broadheads, including practice broadheads or broadheads set to a practice mode. Individuals who damage a target using a prohibited arrow may be held financially responsible. We do not allow air bows. Crossbows are allowed in designated areas only.
PARKING LOT

Please drive slowly in and out of the parking areas. Please lock your vehicle. No overnight parking. We are not responsible for your vehicle or contents while visiting the center.

Management and Staff reserve the right to deny, suspend, revoke or limit access to the Easton Archery Centers at their sole discretion in the case of any violation of Rules and Policies.


We reserve the right to amend or alter these Rules and Policies at any time. All amendments to these Rules and Policies are effective immediately.

CODE OF CONDUCT

All participants and guests utilizing the Easton Archery Centers must adhere to all rules and policies and are expected to act in a safe, courteous, and respectful manner at all times.

All requests and instructions by the Center’s staff should be strictly followed and failure to do so may result in a participant or guest being directed to leave the premises.


We reserve the right to dismiss and/or terminate center access from participants and guests who:


    are unable or unwilling to conform to the center rules and regulations;

    display actions that are deemed unsafe or inappropriate;

    display aggressive behavior in any form including physical abuse, verbal abuse, threats, intimidation, harassment, bullying, coercion, and/or conduct which threaten or endangers the health or safety of any person;

    use abusive or vulgar language, make racial, ethnic, or gender-related slurs or derogatory comments;

    are caught stealing property;

    are observed vandalizing the center and/or property;

    provide false information or records to the center;

    make unwanted sexual or physical contact with anyone.

Criminal activity or acts or threats of violence will be reported to the proper authorities.

Refunds are not given to any participant who is removed from the center programs for disciplinary reasons of any kind.


Participants and visitors who feel that this Code of Conduct is being violated should immediately report the behavior to a staff member on duty.
